Nurturing Nature with Every Sunbeam
Harnessing solar energy, organic gardens, and waste recycling to preserve Rote Island’s beauty.
RESORT SUSTAINABILITY
Powered by solar energy, Seed Resort reduces its reliance on fossil fuels while running key facilities, including our salt-water pool. Our reclaimed teak bungalows are built using traditional Indonesian techniques and fitted with energy-efficient systems, with minimal single-use plastics across the property.
From our coconut grove to our herb and vegetable gardens, fresh ingredients are grown on-site and cared for naturally, bringing organic, farm-to-table flavors straight to your plate.

Sustainable Energy & Materials
At Seed Resort, solar power supplies significant parts of the property, including our salt-water pool, harnessing the island sun to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
Guest bungalows are crafted from reclaimed teak wood and built with traditional Indonesian techniques, then outfitted with high-efficiency appliances and lighting to minimize energy usage.
Wherever possible, we also limit single-use plastics to further reduce our environmental footprint.

Waste Management & Water Recycling
Organic waste from our restaurant and gardens is composted on-site and returned to the soil as natural fertilizer. A bio-septic tank processes all wastewater, which is then used to irrigate our lush grounds.
These practices ensure that every drop and every scrap of organic matter is reused, helping preserve Rote’s natural beauty.

Sustainable Farming & Garden-to-Table Dining
From our on-site coconut grove to our thriving herb and vegetable garden, we cultivate fresh produce that directly supports our restaurant’s menu.
Each plant is carefully tended using natural methods and mindful practices, allowing the land to flourish in harmony with its surroundings.
This garden-to-table approach ensures vibrant, homegrown ingredients bring freshness and flavor to every meal.
